How to Choose a Good Godparent
BAPTINM REQUIREMENTS
It is required for both parents and godparents to attend a pre-baptismal class.
The class is offered every third Monday of the month at 6:00pm in English and every second Sunday of the month in Spanish at 1:00pm.
If you wish to take a pre-baptismal class at Holy Cross and have the child baptized in a different parish, please notify our Parish Office and request a letter of completion. This letter is valid for one year, and a donation of $20.00 is requested.
Please turn in the documents to the office.
Baptisms take place every Saturday at 1:00pm.
Please arrive 20 minutes before mass.
SACRAMENT OF BAPTISM
ABOUT GODPARENTS
Carefully select the child's godparents, as established by canon law. Every baptized child needs to have at least one godparent, who must comply with:
- To be older than 16.
- Being a Catholic and practicing his faith.
- Receive your sacraments of initiation: Baptism, First Communion, and Confirmation.
- If it is the case of a couple, they must be married by the sacrament of the Catholic Church.
- If you have any other questions, please contact the parish office.

- Attend baptismal preparation class (parents and godparents).
- $100.00 donation
- Hand in a copy of the child's birth certificate
- Fill in the registration form.
- If your child is over 7 years old and you want them to receive the sacrament of baptism, we have the R.C.I.C. for them
